Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician I for California bases. This entry-level certificated Airframe and Powerplant role works under a Lead Technician to inspect and repair aircraft, engines, and components and return aircraft to service.

Requirements include FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificates and a valid Class‑C Driver’s License. Knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance procedures is expected, with the ability to learn and follow approved procedures.

Qualifications

• Must hold FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificates.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and approved maintenance practices.
• Able to inspect and repair aircraft components under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair aircraft, engines, propellers, rotors and components to return aircraft to service.
• Work under the guidance of a Lead Technician or journey level technician.
