Job summary

Aviation Institute of Maintenance is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Instructors (A&P) to deliver FAA Part 147‑aligned curriculum and provide hands‑on instruction in classroom and hangar settings at our Chicago campus. Candidates should have hands‑on aircraft maintenance experience and be ready to mentor the next generation of technicians.

No prior teaching experience is required; AIM provides a 5‑day paid instructor training program to help you transition into the classroom and engage students

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
• Strong command of aircraft maintenance systems and procedures.
• Willingness to learn and use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Teach FAA‑aligned curriculum in a positive classroom environment.
• Develop and revise high‑quality course materials.
• Record attendance, grades, and evaluations; maintain documentation.
• Communicate concerns to program leadership and support student success.
• Complete required training and participate in observations and evaluations.
• Collaborate with supervisor on tasks and projects.
