Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Line Maintenance Leader in Los Angeles to ensure efficient operations, safety compliance, and adherence to policies. You will oversee staffing, training, and coordination with union leadership, management, and external partners to maintain aircraft readiness and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in maintenance operations, an A&P license, and strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• 5 years Aircraft Maintenance Operations experience.
• Familiarity with multiple functional areas.

Responsibilities

• Oversees interpretation of the collective bargaining agreement and company policies for represented and non-represented employees.
• Promotes trust by communicating station matters to frontline employees and supporting engagement.
• Partners with union leadership and supports CI processes.
• Uses on-the-job training to develop Crew Chiefs and Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs).
• Interfaces with Managers, Crew Chiefs, union leadership, contractors and authorities.
• Assigns workload to Crew Chiefs and updates MOC on progress.
• Adheres to safety obligations as per company policies.
• Works rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
