Job summary

Safran S.A. is seeking an on-site Field Service Technician III in Charleston, SC to support the Air Framer and assist with interiors manufactured in the USA, France and Great Britain. The role covers installation issues, rework, and customer relations during aircraft builds.

The successful candidate will diagnose electronic components, adjust installations, and maintain quality workmanship while traveling to other Air Framer sites and international Safran locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years of Field Service experience related to troubleshooting and repairs.
• Knowledge of Safran passenger seating preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools.
• Willingness to travel to other Air Framer sites and international Safran locations.

Responsibilities

• Rework and stamp pickups self-identified and/or written by Air Framer and/or customer during the build of the Aircraft.
• Diagnose faulty electronic components using computer software and multi-meter down to the root cause.
• Adjust misaligned panels, trim pieces, harnesses, electrical components and installation issues.
• Create emergent removal paperwork to install/replace parts at the Air Framer.
• Maintain a high level of workmanship at all times.
• May train other team members in field expertise (paint, avionics, etc.).
