About the Role

If you are a seasoned aircraft inspection professional looking to make an impact in a meaningful environment that supports and protects heroes, join our team! As an Aircraft Inspector III, you will perform complex inspections and audits, ensuring the highest standards of airworthiness and regulatory compliance. You will also assist in training junior inspectors. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex aircraft inspections and audits.
  • Plan and prepare for comprehensive inspections.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate inspection documentation.
  • Address significant non‑conformities.
  • Train and mentor junior inspectors.
  • Ensure timely completion of inspection schedules.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts.
  • Understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of aviation products after maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1.
  • Understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) designation.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
Security Clearance

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non‑U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $30.35 - $41.73. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
