Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in the United States seeks an Aircraft Inspector IV to inspect aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to manufacturer specifications and government regulations.

You will lead complex inspections, develop and implement inspection protocols, mentor junior inspectors and ensure accurate documentation of findings, with duties including audits of maintenance processes and deployments to CONUS/OCONUS locations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with IA designation.
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft, systems, equipment and parts.
  • Familiar with audit/inspection processes and tools for airworthiness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee complex aircraft inspections.

  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of findings.
  • Address and resolve significant compliance issues.

As an Aircraft Inspector IV, you will be using your skills and expertise to inspect our aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to the manufacturer's specifications and government regulations. You'll be responsible for identifying any breach of standards for airworthiness. Your inspection authority will include all in-process inspections, all final inspections, and approval for return to service of all work.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Applicants who do not currently have a USG security clearance are welcome to apply and, if selected, will be processed for a USG security clearance by SNC prior to employment. Employment will begin once the USG security clearance is granted. If applicant is unable to obtain USG security clearance, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.Please be advised that this position may require deployment for a period of up to 90 days OCONUS, depending on mission needs.
