Job description

One of the largest Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and overhaul facilities is hiring an Aircraft Quality Inspector in Rockford, IL. The ideal candidate will have a background in regional or commercial aircraft inspection and hold a valid A&P license.

The right candidate can expect a competitive hourly rate based on their experience and background. There is also a potential for relocation for candidates who are not local to the area.

Description:

Inspector, QC Licensed. Responsible for performing assigned inspections on civil aviation articles in accordance with technical data provided by the manufacturers for continued airworthiness, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, government, and industry standard practices.

What you will be responsible for:
  1. Verifies work performed on aviation articles is performed in compliance with manufacturer data and customer data.
  2. Performs incoming, primary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections.
  3. Review maintenance records, documentation, and logbooks to ensure all necessary repairs, inspections, Op-checks, and documentation have been completed in accordance with the current approved/accepted technical data.
  4. Will be authorized to approve work performed for the return to service. Perform tasks as assigned relating to the privileges granted under 14 CFR Part 65.
  5. Always observing company safety requirements while carrying out assigned tasks.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license, required.
  • 1-2 Years aviation experience required; 1+ years QC experience preferred.
  • Associate of Arts (AA) degree or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school, preferred.
  • Have been exercising their airmen privileges and actively engaged for the last 2 years.
