Role Description:

The Asset Protection Specialist is responsible for preventing financial loss due to theft and fraud and overseeing physical security within their assigned facility. They will promote a shrink elimination culture, utilizing tools like CCTV, exception reporting, security audits, and access management. Integrity, responsiveness to asset protection concerns, and focus on business objectives are essential. This role reports to the Director, HRBP.

What you'll do:

• Engage, coach, and influence operational partners on security policies and best practices.
• Serve as the SME for asset protection and physical security at the location.
• Coordinate with on-site security and oversee third-party guard teams.
• Manage building access control, including badge creation and deactivation.
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement deterrents to mitigate risks.
• Analyze CCTV and exception reports to identify theft trends.
• Investigate theft and fraud cases and conduct interviews.
• Prepare detailed case reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze data and strategize loss mitigation.
• Testify in criminal and civil trials related to investigations.
• Coordinate with law enforcement agencies.
• This role requires working all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as part of a 24/7 operation.

What you'll bring:

• At least 2 years of experience in security, asset protection, investigations, law enforcement, or related field, or a relevant bachelor's degree.
• Experience in data collection and root cause analysis.
• Preferred certifications: Wicklander-Zulawski Interview & Interrogation, Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI), LPCertified (LPC) or LPQualified (LPQ).
• Experience with physical security systems and vendor coordination.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working with law enforcement agencies.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with workplace violence risk analysis or business continuity is a plus.
• Strong decision-making and data analysis skills.
