Job summary

COMLUX AMERICA LLC seeks an Aircraft Inspector to ensure the return to service of aircraft by completing work orders and all required documentation from pre-planning to delivery. The role requires performing inspections of airframes, engines, components, and modifications to verify conformity with specifications.

The ideal candidate will have an A&P license, strong knowledge of FAA regulations, and extensive inspection experience.

Qualifications

  • A&P license and High School Diploma required.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures, Service Bulletins, RSM and applicable FAR Directives and FAA regulations.
  • 1 year Inspection or Limited Inspector experience desirable
  • 5+ years as an A&P Technician
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, aircraft drawings, wiring diagrams and other engineering documentation.
  • Valid Passport

Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the return to service of all assigned articles to include completion of all work orders and all other required documentation from pre-planning to delivery of the aircraft.

Essential Job Functions

A. AIRCRAFT INSPECTOR

  • Conduct all inspections of airframes, engines, components and modifications utilizing the relevant tools and/or equipment, as applicable, to ensure conformity with specifications and standards as defined in the repair station manuals.
  • Accomplish all assigned inspection tasks, including maintenance, avionics, and fabrication inspections, and associated documentation review, while maintaining liaison with maintenance and/or production personnel in order to expedite the maintenance and/or modification operation.
  • Use precise measuring and test equipment.
  • Audit task cards, non-routines and associated work order package documentation prior to release of aircraft.
  • Ensure log book/research is completed. Review all entries and other required documentation which accurately records the maintenance and/or modification performed.
  • Complete AD research as necessary.
  • Receive paperwork from Maintenance Lead to ensure documentation is completed and ready in conjunction with delivery of the aircraft.
  • Review completed documentation of work performed by others, conducts inspections and performs functional tests as needed. Sign off as "Inspected By".
  • Compute weight and balance data and revise equipment lists.
  • Other duties not specifically covered herein but otherwise assigned.
Minimum Qualifications, Education, Experience, Licenses, Etc
  • A&P license required; High School Diploma.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures, Service Bulletins, RSM and applicable FAR Directives and FAA regulations.
  • 1 year Inspection or Limited Inspector experience is desirable
  • 5+ years as an A&P Technician
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, aircraft drawings, wiring diagrams and other engineering documentation.
  • Valid Passport
Required Skills And Abilities
  • Proficient knowledge and expertise with all aspects of Maintenance and Inspection procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of RSQM, FAR and FAA guidelines for airworthiness.
  • Strong knowledge of computers and related software.
  • Familiarity with foreign airworthiness regulations such as EASA would be an advantage.
  • Willing to work overtime with little or no notice.
  • Willing to work Shifts.
Work Environment

The work environment described here is representative of those required by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.

The location where this position works is in an aircraft hangar environment which is subject to weather changes, constant exposure to loud noise, potential contact with hazardous waste material and other safety hazards such as aircraft, steps, interior components: divans, chairs, other cabinets etc.

INTRODUCTORY PERIOD

Comlux shall periodically review your performance and ability to perform each of the essential functions of your position identified above prior to the expiration of the probationary period. If you fail to pass the performance review or display behavioral issues or fail to meet expectations for reporting to work on time as scheduled, you shall be considered as having failed to qualify for continued employment during the probationary period, in which case Comlux shall be entitled to immediately terminate your employment.
