Job summary

VSE in Miramar, FL is seeking an Aviation Technician I with strong mechanical aptitude to inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot and overhaul aircraft components in a safety-conscious environment.

Ideal candidates hold Airframe and Powerplant Certification with 4+ years of technical experience, and can read schematics, work with calibrated tools, and document work per regulations while coordinating with shop leads.

Qualifications

  • Must have Airframe and Powerplant Certification or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of relevant/technical work experience, or 3 additional years in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to teardown, inspect, parts requisition, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of aircraft fuel/pneumatic components.
  • Must multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated verbal/written skills and ability to interact with all levels.
  • Detail oriented, organized and computer literate (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Willingness to work additional hours when required.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft fuel/pneumatic equipment.
  • Perform and document work per manuals and regulations.
  • Maintain calibrated tools in good condition.
  • Ensure work complies with technical data and regulatory standards.
  • Read and interpret schematics and drawings.
  • Complete tasks safely and timely as directed by shop lead.
