Job summary

The Gill Corporation in El Monte, CA is seeking a Fabrication Assembler for 2nd shift. You will finish detailed panel assemblies and liners, reading blueprints and work orders, and maintaining SAP records.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, basic computer skills, and flexibility for overtime. Qualifications include 1–3 years in assembly/manufacturing, high school diploma or GED, and preference for candidates with aircraft manufacturing or forklift experience.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of assembly or manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to read blueprints and work orders.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Experience in aircraft manufacturing is a plus.
• Construction, carpentry and forklift experience are a plus.
• Must have English reading and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, understand and communicate procedures.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to demonstrate math proficiency equal to or greater than required for the position.
• Must be available to work the shift specified and be flexible to overtime.

Responsibilities

• Primary duties include finishing detailed panel assembly and liners.
• Uses specifications, blueprints, mylar and work orders.
• Deburrs and cleans insert drill holes prior to insert installation.
• Applies adhesive to plugs/ sleeves and panel prior to plug/ sleeve installation.
• Prepares panel assemblies for edge fill operation.
• Mixes and applies adhesive to the undercut/edge of panels.
• Hand routes with pneumatic hand router all detailed liners using the specified tool required.
• Records all material and logs information on work orders and in SAP software.
• Other essential duties may be assigned.
