Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Sciences or Physics.
• Eight years minimum EMC experience (industry or academic).
• Minimum four years with systems or structures EMC experience.
• Knowledge of RTCA/DO-160, SAE ARPs; familiarity with airworthiness regs.
• Engineering leadership; ability to work autonomously on goals.
• Strong communication skills to report to management and teams.
• French is an asset; aviation domain knowledge a plus.
• Experience in aircraft development programs is preferred.
• Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools is an asset.
• Knowledge of aviation business is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex assignments related to EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning, and Electrostatics.
• Define scope of EMC effort; plan activities and milestones; identify risks.
• Analyze new or modified designs to assess EMC impacts.
• Review and approve test procedures, test reports, and analyses.
• Provide guidance to junior team members; act as EMC lead on projects.
• Coach, mentor, and train new EMC team members and interns.
• Support EMC tests in Canada, the US and Europe as needed.
• Prepare Certification Design Compliance Reports.
