Job summary

Amentum is actively hiring an Aircraft Electrician Mechanic I to support U.S. Navy aviation maintenance at NAS Norfolk, VA. Duties include troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of aircraft structures, engines, and systems, with emphasis on safety and maintenance standards.

The role requires reading and applying manuals, service bulletins, and engineering data, performing inspections, and working on- and off-site detachments as needed. Competitive hourly wage and benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have completed Navy Aviation AE “A” School.
• Five (5) years E-2C/D aircraft maintenance experience with 3 years CDI/QA experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, engines, and propulsion systems.
• Reads and interprets maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical data.
• Performs inspections (hourly/periodic) and tests using diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Perform off-site detachments as required.
