Amentum is seeking qualified Aviation Electronics Technicians to support U.S. Navy maintenance operations at NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA.

The Aircraft Mechanic 1 performs repairs and troubleshooting on F/A-18 aircraft systems, reads manuals and technical data to determine repair methods, and conducts routine inspections to keep aircraft in safe operating condition. Applicants must meet Navy prerequisites, pass background checks and CAC requirements, and be willing to work shifts including

Qualifications

• Three (3) years’ actual and recent organizational level F/A-18 aircraft maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Must hold US Navy 8341/E19A NEC or equivalent.
• Must have completed Navy Aviation Electronics Technician AT “A” School or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization and CAC status.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and inspects F/A-18 aircraft and components per manuals and data.
• Performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Supervises jacking and towing of aircraft and records work performed.
