Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Egress Specialist to perform repair and maintenance on cockpit egress components, including canopies, ejection seats, and safety devices. You will inspect, repair, test, and troubleshoot complex egress systems in aircraft, ensuring compliance with safety standards and documentation in maintenance records.

This role requires hands-on experience with aircrew egress systems, the ability to follow detailed procedures, and the capacity to work under FAA/DoD style

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license with REAL ID within 30 days of employment.
• U.S. Citizen for site access.
• Experience removing, inspecting, installing, repairing, and modifying aircrew egress systems.
• Experience supervising maintenance of egress systems and subsystems.
• Air Force "Aircrew Egress Systems Apprentice Course" or intra-service equivalent (DD 214 or employment record).
• Must meet physical requirements as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Job description

The Senior Egress Specialist performs aircraft egress system repair/maintenance tasks on cockpit egress components: Inspects, repairs, tests and troubleshoots Aircraft Egress, Canopy Fracturing Systems and Emergency Oxygen system components, performs canopy rigging/fitting of aircraft canopy drive and locking systems. It may operate ground support equipment and enter required data into computerized maintenance record systems.

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible to the Egress Shop Leadman and assists in the performance of egress team concept maintenance.

• Maintains aircraft egress systems with ejection seats, canopies, and hatches; explosive components; electro-explosive devices (EED); subsystems; and related support equipment (SE).

• Duties include, but not limited to inspection, repair, maintenance and modification of egress systems, removal and replacement of time change components, and removal, rigging and replacement of seats and canopies.

• Maintains constant awareness of egress system safety, accomplishes necessary form maintenance, and performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license with REAL ID within 30 days of employment

• Must be able to obtain and maintain site access. Note: U.S. Citizen is required to obtain site access

• Experience in functions such as removing, inspecting, installing, repairing, and modifying aircrew egress systems and components.

• Experience performing or supervising functions involved in maintaining and inspecting egress systems and subsystems.

• Must have successfully completed the Air Force "Aircrew Egress Systems Apprentice Course" or intra-service equivalent (DD 214 or employment record).

• Must be able to meet the physical requirements for this position as stipulated in Appendix E of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Compensation Details

Hourly Rate: $46.83
