HX5, LLC is seeking a Senior Aircraft Depot Maintenance Planner to support the A4/FD R2D2 team for Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. This role requires strong experience in DM activities, workload forecasting, and budget tracking, with the ability to prepare documentation and present metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience with Depot Maintenance (DM) activities and data-driven decision support.
• Experience in workload forecasting, and documenting decisions in AMS/DSOR systems.
• Knowledge of Air Force DM processes and depot aircraft maintenance management.

Responsibilities

• Utilize DM metrics and data to assess organic DM effectiveness.
• Forecast workload, prepare packages for leadership, document decisions in DSOR AMS.
• Assess capability alignment, propose corrective actions and funding implications.
• Draft and staff plans, policies, staffing, and budgets; present metrics to leadership groups.
• Track budgets and performance by monitoring orders, capacity, and carryover.
• Develop training on DM processes and perform root cause analysis to improve workflows.

HX5 is currently seeking a Senior Aircraft Depot Maintenance Planner to support Headquarters, Air Force Material Command’s A4/FD Requirements Review Depot Determination (R2D2) team at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilizing experience with Depot Maintenance (DM) activities, use metrics, data analysis, and utilization of existing data infrastructure to track and determine operational effectiveness of organic DM.
• Assist workload forecasting by gathering inputs, processing repair decisions, preparing packages for leadership approval, and documenting decisions in the Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) Automated Management System (AMS).
• Review capability establishment ensuring alignment with leaders’ decisions. Recommend corrective actions and support workload forecasting to ensure depot capability and manpower plans are adequately funded.
• Draft, review, and staff documentation to support plans, policies, staffing and budget needs. Prepare/present metrics for corporate boards, councils, symposiums, and leadership meetings.
• Track execution of budgets and financial performance by monitoring customer order variations, capacity availability, and carryover positions.
• Develop and deploy training on DM processes while identifying process problems, performing root cause analysis, and recommending solutions.

Education and Experience:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:

• Master’s Degree and ten (10) year’s experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed
• Bachelor’s Degree and twelve (12) years’ experience
• High School Diploma and fifteen (15) years’ of directly related experience.
• Must have experience/working knowledge of Air Force field and depot aircraft maintenance management processes.

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
• Must be able to travel, including air travel.
