AAA USA is actively hiring an Aircraft Composite Technician to support aerospace repair and manufacturing programs across multiple locations. This role requires 3+ years of aerospace composite experience and hands-on fabrication, bonding, and inspection of composite and metal parts.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, assembles, pre-fits, and bonds metal, composite laminates, assemblies, parts, skins or equipment.
• Team with others to fabricate, assemble, form, finish and inspect structural and non-structural fiberglass, acrylic and other composite parts.
• Follows engineering specifications to determine parts to be bonded; sets temperature and pressure; cuts parts to size.
• Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycles; sands, burrs and smoothes surfaces.
• Applies sealing resins to edges; may perform complicated rework or repair.
• Obtains information from prints, charts, sketches, work orders, and verbal/electronic info.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lays out, assembles, pre-fits, and bonds a variety of metal, compositor laminate fabrications, assemblies, parts, skins or equipment.
• Team with others to fabricate, assemble, form, finish and inspect a wide variety of structural and non-structural fiberglass, acrylic and other composite and metal parts, tools and assemblies.
• Follows engineering and manufacturing specifications and orders to determine parts to be bonded and the temperature and pressure required. Cuts parts or materials to size.
• Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete the bonding cycle. Sands, burrs and smoothes over areas.
• Applies sealing resins to cut or exposed edges. Process methods and sequences vary depending on compounds, contours and lay-up transitions. May perform complicated rework or repair.
• Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work orders, documents, verbal and electronic information.

Experience:

• 3+ years of aerospace composite experience.
