Job summary

AAA United States, Inc. is seeking skilled technicians to lay out, assemble, and bond aerospace composite structures for a major external partner in Kinston, NC.

The role requires hands-on experience with metal and composite fabrication, including bonding, curing, and measurement to engineering specs. Travel or relocation to Kinston, NC is required; long or short-term contracts with immediate placement are offered, along with benefits and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 5 years of aerospace composite experience.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, assembles, pre-fits, and bonds metal, composite, and laminate fabrications, assemblies, parts or equipment.
• Follows engineering and manufacturing specifications to determine parts to be bonded and the temperature and pressure required.
• Cuts parts or materials to size.
• Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete the bonding cycle.
• Sands, burrs and smoothes over areas.
• Applies sealing resins to cut or exposed edges.
• Process methods and sequences vary depending on compounds, contours and lay-up transitions.
• May perform complicated rework or repair.
• Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work orders, documents, verbal and electronic information.
