Aircraft A&P Mechanic - Line Maintenance - 16979

Perform aircraft maintenance, MEL, CDL, NEF deferrals and accurately complete all aircraft paperwork to ensure safety and timely delivery. Perform troubleshooting, adjustments, and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation of aircraft.

Swing Shift: 3:30pm to 2:00am

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure work performed adheres to high quality standards.
  • Perform maintenance tasks with Airline Maintenance Control supervision.
  • Use FAA approved data i.e. IPC, AMM, OHM, SRM, and MEL Manual proficiently.
  • Effectively interact with customer representatives.
  • Must be comfortable exercising the full privilege of Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) certificates (A&P).
  • Inspect aircraft for defects, such as fuel/oil leaks, electrical, hydraulic, and pressurization systems malfunctions.
  • Must be able to measure accurately with ruler, dial calipers, and depth micrometers.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must have a minimum of two years related experience and/or training.
  • Must have an airframe (A) and powerplant (P) certificates (A&P).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year background check for Airport Terminal Badging.
  • Open to any shift including swings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Constantly: Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.
  • Frequently: Lifting ≤ 40 lbs., push/pull < 20 lbs., climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling for extended periods, working in confined spaces, working above chest-level, overhead, and away from body for extended periods, bending, twisting of torso, twisting and/or pressure with wrist/hands, fine finger usage, moderate vibrations up to 2 hrs. to high vibrations up to 30 mins. Vision with/without correction; near < 20”, far > 20’, and basic depth perception (shapes). Working at elevated heights ≥ 4’, working on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and energized parts.
  • Occasionally: Lifting and/or carry ≤ 50 lbs., sitting, basic color vision, operation of motorized or electrical equipment, push/pull < 50 lbs., work in wet conditions.

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

Employment will be contingent on clearing a DOT drug screen, physical, background check, 3-year employment verification, 2-year DOT verification, and education verification. These screening requirements must clear prior to the start date.

Candidate must possess U.S. work authorization and pass E-Verify within 3 business days of start date.

Must qualify for a Will Rogers World Airport badge within 30 days from start date.
