Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a System Integration Engineer to support the AISR&T program in Rancho Bernardo, CA. You will plan, execute, and troubleshoot system integration activities across airborne ISR and tactical systems, ensuring that hardware, software, networks, and mission applications work together as a cohesive system.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of experience (or a Master’s with 3+ years, or a PhD with 1+ year).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s with 3+ years, or a PhD with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience in system integration and/or systems engineering on complex, multi-subsystem or real-time systems.
• Familiarity with integration and test processes, defect tracking, and configuration management tools.
• Active US Government Secret clearance or higher (with recent background investigation or in Continuous Evaluation).

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute system integration activities for AISR&T, including lab and flight integration where applicable.
• Integrate software, hardware, networks, and mission subsystems into end-to-end configurations; support build, bring-up, and regression events.
• Develop and maintain integration artifacts: plans, baselines, interface notes, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with design teams to translate designs into integration and test steps.
• Troubleshoot at system level; drive resolution with software, hardware, network, and cybersecurity teams.
• Support integration and system test events, including readiness, conduct, data review, and discrepancy reporting.
• Provide input to requirements and interface definitions based on learning and realities.
• Deliver clear integration status and risk/issue reports to leadership and customers.
