Job summary

You will lead a critical capability development for an advanced airborne platform, driving holistic Support System thinking across design, operations, and sustainment to meet end-user needs in demanding environments.

You will build and guide a lean, high-ownership team, shaping product development and achieving rapid cycles from concept to flight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or aviation related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Aerospace, Defense or product development/design environments including technology maturation.
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering and its benefits and limitations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of a broad Support System for deploy, supply, operate and maintain.
• Hire, develop, and grow a focused hands-on Engineering team for practical Support System solutions.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders to ensure operational needs are understood.
• Own Day In The Life Of decomposition activities to shape Air Vehicle and Mission Systems design.
• Design, fabricate and test transport and handling equipment for rapid deployment in challenging environments.
• Identify standards and interfaces for supply systems (e.g., fueling) as design inputs.
• Develop maintenance systems and training approaches using emerging technologies.
• Collaborate across the Division to standardize the look and feel of a Common Support System.
