Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer (Air-to-Ground) to join our Mission Systems team. You will support radar system development, analysis, and integration across multiple programs on-site at our Linthicum facility.

Required are a STEM degree with significant radar experience, active Secret clearance, and proficiency in MATLAB/Python/C/C++. The role emphasizes collaboration with RF, hardware, and software engineers and involves some travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of experience or relevant combinations.
• U.S. Citizenship and a current/active Secret clearance; ability to obtain SAP.
• Experience in Radar Air-to-Ground applications and MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and document radar system functions.
• Develop and maintain system/subsystem specifications and ICDs.
• Support SRR, PDR, CDR with analyses and documentation.
• Use MATLAB/Python for radar performance analyses.
• Plan and execute lab and field tests of radar systems.
• Collaborate with RF, hardware, software, and other engineers to implement requirements.
• Document work products and contribute to reports.
