Qualifications

• Luxury travel experience preferred.

We are seeking an experienced Air Ticketing Specialist to join our flight team as a full-time independent contractor based in the Philippines. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on Sabre booking experience and possesses meticulous attention to detail, adaptability, a knack for handling the unexpected with finesse, tech-savvy, and the capacity to multitask.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Book domestic and international flights via Sabre GDS.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for complex leisure travel needs, providing detailed guidance on premium cabin options (Business and First Class), including aircraft configurations, in-flight experience, fare comparisons, and international travel requirements (e.g., travel documents, security programs, and special accommodations such as service animals).
• Issue tickets and process invoices promptly, ensuring all details areaccurateand in line with the booking information.
• Troubleshoot and resolve booking issues, often under tight deadlines.
• Work independently and collaboratively with a team to support complex travel arrangements.
• Manage schedule changes, ensuringtimelycommunication with the team, and vendors to rebook or adjustflightsas necessary.
• Handle voluntary exchanges, ensuring compliance with airline policies andaccuratecalculation of exchange-related fees.
• Process refunds, ensuring adherence to airline policies and internal procedures.
• Manage andmonitorSabre queues, addressing issues promptly.
• Handle special service requests and ensure seat assignments meet client preferences.
• Learn and adapt to Local Foreigner’s tools, contracts, and processes to provide support during downtime andassistwith volume increases.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experienceworkingwith Sabre GDS including:
• Air Booking & Ticketing:Expertisein booking domestic and international flights, including quoting, pricing, booking, exchanges, refunds, and ticketing using Sabre formats.
• PNR Management:Expertisein creating,modifying, andmaintainingPassenger Name Records (PNRs) with accuracy, ensuring all required fields are completed for seamless processing.
• Fare Construction: Strong knowledge of manual fare building, interpreting fare rules, and applying logical fares.
• Queue Management: Ability to efficiently manageand actionSabre queues, ensuring all bookings and ticketing tasks are handled promptly.
• Special Service Requests (SSR): Experience with managing meal preferences,andseat assignmentsin Sabre.
• Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve Sabre-related issues such as schedule changes, flight disruptions, and system errors with minimal supervision.
• Sabre Red Workspace: Familiarity with Sabre Red Workspace, including customization for optimized workflow and productivity.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a natural ability to connect with clients and colleagues.
• Multitasking & Time Management: Comfortably juggle multiple tasks and deadlines without compromising quality.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy and organization, particularly when working with flight bookings, seat assignments, and ticket issuance.
• Luxury Travel Experience (Preferred): Prior experience working with a luxury or high-end leisure travel agency, with familiarity navigating premium cabin bookings, complex international itineraries, and discerning client needs.
