Job summary

Buckland's Air & Ocean team in the United States is seeking a Junior specialist to coordinate the documentation and advances for customs clearance, and to oversee delivery of freight after clearance while ensuring entries meet applicable regulations.

You will work with forwarders, provide PODs, expediting support, and maintain accurate entry summaries, reporting to the Team Leader, Air & Ocean.

Qualifications

The Role

This position is responsible for coordinate the handling of documentation and advances for clearance, delivery of freight after clearance, and monitoring and control all entry/entry summary preparation to ensure shipments are entered in accordance with the US Federal Code of Regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service to clients.
• Responsible for all Import of Air & Ocean shipments.
• Work with forwarders on daily basis.
• Ensure POD is supplied.
• Expediting and tracing as required.
• Determination of profit levels and billing.
• Process required customs documentation.
• Assist in development, implementation, and maintenance of department processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Physical Demands

• Occasionally bend, squat, kneel, reach above shoulder, and frequently sit, handle objects (manual dexterity), use fine finger movement.
• Occasionally must carry/lift loads of up to 15 lbs.
