Job summary

Air Methods is seeking an exceptional Helicopter Pilot for Lake City, FL. The role requires ensuring aircraft airworthiness and compliance with FAR, AIM and GOM while transporting medical crew and patients within an assigned area.

The position requires meeting stringent flight hour, PIC and instrument time requirements, plus a commercial & instrument rating and ATP rating in the category. Relocation and housing options are available, with a strong safety culture and 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• 2000 total flight hours with minimum of 1500 flight hours in category.
• 1000 hours PIC in category.
• 50 hours total actual or hood instrument time in flight and in category.
• Must meet 2000 hours and PIC requirements for FAA VFR program.

Responsibilities

• Operate Air Methods aircraft safely and legally.
• Complete pre-flight checks and sign off Daily Flight Log.
• Maintain authority over flight operations and safety of passengers/cargo.
• Familiarize flight crew with aircraft and medical systems.
• Complete required documentation for flights.
• Conduct detailed flight planning with tight timelines.
• Participate in meetings, projects and community outreach.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
