Job summary

Air Methods Corporation in Ridgecrest, CA seeks an experienced helicopter pilot to transport medical crews and patients within an assigned operational area. You will operate aircraft safely under FAR, AIM and GOM guidelines, performing pre-flight checks and maintaining comprehensive flight logs.

This full-time role offers a 7/7 schedule with 12-hour shifts, a pay range from USD 82,900 to USD 93,251, plus stipends, sign-on bonuses and strong benefits including health, retirement, life and

Qualifications

• Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Weight and age restrictions: must maintain weight not to exceed 250 pounds and be under 70 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
• Complete pre-flight checks and verify airworthiness before flights.
• Exercise final authority for operations and safety of passengers, cargo and equipment.
• Familiarize flight team with aircraft and medical interior systems.
• Complete required documentation and conduct detailed flight planning as needed.
• Participate in meetings, projects, and community outreach.
