Job summary

Air Methods is seeking highly qualified pilots to operate air medical transports from Yakima, WA. The role emphasizes safety, extensive flight time, and compliance with FAR/AIM/GOM policies while providing top-tier patient care and crew support.

Selected candidates will maintain rigorous flight schedules, complete thorough pre-flight checks, and participate in continuous training and team activities. Relocation and comprehensive benefits accompany competitive pay scales.

Qualifications

• 2,500 total flight hours with minimum of 2000 flight hours in category.
• 1,000 hours PIC in category.
• 500 hours cross-country, at least 50 hours at night.
• 500 hours turbine time.
• 100 hours night flight time.
• 100 hours of actual instrument conditions in category.
• ALNW requirements: 2500 total flight hours with 2500 in category; 150 hours night; 300 hours instrument; 50 hours make and model.

Responsibilities

• Operates Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
• Completes pre-flight inspections and daily flight log sign-off.
• Final authority for operations and safety of passengers, cargo and equipment.
• Familiar with aircraft and medical systems of backup aircraft; ensure medical team is comfortable with interior systems.
• Complete required documentation and conduct detailed flight planning as needed.
• Participate in meetings, projects, committees and community outreach.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
