Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services is hiring for an Air Logistics Ramp Associate at our Connecticut airport location. You will load and unload air freight containers, move Express packages from aircraft to warehouse and then to trucks, in a cross-dock operation without significant storage.

Indoor facility is open-air and non-temperature controlled, with aircraft surroundings. The role includes a ramp differential of $1.25 per hour and requires lifting up to 50 pounds, weekend availability, and adherence

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or international equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun) and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Transport, load and unload air freight containers from aircraft within confined areas.
• Push, pull and position loaded air freight containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs.
• Removal of tie-downs and other gear when loading and unloading.
• Read "off-load" sheets to determine destination of Express packages.
• Operate ramp equipment with weights up to 80,000 lbs in congested areas around aircraft.
• Engage in push-out of aircraft or guide driver during push-back procedure.
