Air Logistics Operational Care Specialist

Our Chicago site is looking for a new Air Logistics Operational Care Specialist to join our team. The Operational Care Specialist manages the coordination of shipments to meet customer transit time requirements. This role involves executing bookings, generating documentation, monitoring shipments, and liaising with customer care specialists to ensure specific requirements are met. Responsibilities include securing buy rates, capacity, and ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage operational activities reliably, accurately, and timely, minimizing overdue tasks.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Monitor shipments, follow up on deviations, and update systems with accurate information, including costs.
• Review and clarify instructions, ensuring compliance with regulations and resolving discrepancies.
• Report problems or disputes promptly.
• Collaborate with partners, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Monitor carrier performance and escalate issues as needed.
• Work with the Optimization Team to improve processes and system utilization.
• Maximize profitability through cost optimization.
• Participate in process improvements and ensure smooth account transitions from sales to operations.

Your Skills and Experiences

• 0-2 years in Air Logistics or Freight Forwarding.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Service-oriented mentality with good communication skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in the local language; intermediate English.
• Availability for M-F, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm shift, with a 4-1 schedule after probation.
