Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Freight Forwarder for Air Import Gateway at our Atlanta facility. You will manage import shipments from gateway to destination, including booking, documentation, and coordination with carriers to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in logistics or related field and 2–3 years of experience in freight forwarding or air import operations. Proficiency with CargoWise or similar systems is a plus, and weekend work is possible.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred in logistics or related field.
Minimum 2–3 years in freight forwarding, air import operations, or international logistics.
Experience with air import processes and regulatory compliance is expected.

Responsibilities

Coordinate air import shipments from gateway facility, book cargo space and arrange pickups.
Prepare and verify import documents (air waybills, invoices, packing lists).
Facilitate customs clearance and permits; ensure regulatory compliance.
Monitor shipment movements and provide updates to clients/stakeholders.
liaise with carriers, brokers, and service providers to resolve issues and optimize costs.
