Job summary

DSV Road GmbH is seeking an Air Import Gateway Freight Forwarder in Atlanta to coordinate air import shipments from gateway facilities, book cargo space, and ensure timely delivery to international destinations. You’ll prepare airway bills, invoices, packing lists, and other documentation while ensuring compliance with import regulations.

You will monitor shipments, liaise with carriers and customs brokers, and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, international business, or related field preferred.
• Experience in air import operations and freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of air freight regulations and customs procedures.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air import shipments from gateway facility, book cargo space and liaise with carriers.
• Prepare import documentation (air waybills, invoices, packing lists) accurately.
• Facilitate customs clearance and import declarations per regulations.
• Track shipments and provide status updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Negotiate rates with suppliers to optimize service quality and cost.
