Pay Range: $26.45 - $28.85

Your Role

Receive inbound freight shipments by performing various duties, including:

• Opening files in our software system for each shipment
• Responding to inquiries via fax, email, or phone
• Negotiating with customers and resolving issues
• Examining invoices and shipping documents for compliance
• Coordinating with customs officials for clearance
• Preparing freight bills, accepting payments, and issuing refunds
• Notifying about shipment delays and providing PODs upon request
• Verifying merchandise weights and volumes in shipping documents
• Converting foreign currency figures and calculating duties/tariffs
• Communicating with foreign companies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum six months to one year related experience
• Customer-focused with good analytical and PC skills
• Knowledge of sea freight environment
• Self-motivated with leadership qualities
