Job summary

Toll Group in New York is seeking an entry-level Air Freight Coordinator to assist with booking air shipments, prepare documentation, and enter shipment details in internal systems.

You will monitor status, liaise with airlines and freight forwarders, support invoicing, and ensure compliance under guidance. This role requires 1–2 years in air freight or logistics and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in air freight or logistics operations.
• Basic understanding of customs and aviation regulations is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; exposure to freight systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with booking air shipments and preparing documentation such as air waybills and customs forms.


• Enter shipment details into internal systems and maintain accurate records.


• Monitor shipment status and update stakeholders as directed by senior staff.


• Coordinate basic cargo pick-up and delivery arrangements under supervision.


• Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, and transport providers for routine operational needs.


• Respond to standard customer inquiries and elevate complex issues to senior coordinators or managers.


• Support invoicing and administrative tasks related to air freight jobs.


• Ensure compliance with company procedures and assist with regulatory requirements under guidance.

Minimum Essential Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in air freight or logistics operations (entry-level candidates with relevant training may be considered).


• Basic understanding of customs and aviation regulations is an advantage.


• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; exposure to freight systems preferred.


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.


• Team player with a proactive and customer-focused approach.


• Willingness to learn and take on varied operational tasks.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• This position is generally sedentary in nature; involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.


• Must be able to travel.


• Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. required.


• Ability to talk and hear required.


• Ability to perform repetitive motions required.


• Ability to occasionally move inside the office


• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day.

Pay Transparency:

In compliance with applicable state and local laws, the salary range for this position varies based on the work location. Please review the ranges below:

Expected base pay range (NY, CA, IL): $24.52/hour- $32.69/hour, plus bonus

This range represents the salary range for this position in these locations. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

• Internal Transfers/Promotions : For current employees, compensation will be determined in accordance with the company’s internal mobility and compensation policies and may vary from the posted range based on current salary and job grade alignment.
