Job summary

The Montgomery County Board of Education is seeking a JROTC Air Force Instructor for a public high school program. The role requires current Alabama teaching certification, a bachelor's degree or higher, and Air Force Cadet Command JROTC certification or certifiability.

The instructor will operate within both military and Montgomery Public Schools command structures and foster positive relationships with students and families.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Teacher's Certification.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• Certified or certifiable by the United States Air Force Cadet Command in accordance with JROTC certification standards.

• To teach classes in accordance with standards outlined by the U.S. Air Force regulations and MPS guidelines and procedures.
• To operate within the military chain of command as well as the Montgomery Public School system.
• To establish a positive relationship with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors.

SPECIAL NOTE: The person selected for this position must agree to a background check, be fingerprinted, and pay a $46.20 fee. This is required by law.

SPECIAL NOTE: For employees starting work after the beginning date of the work term, the salary will be pro-rated and based on the number of contract days left in the school year, divided by the remaining months in the contract year.
