Job summary

Expeditors International is seeking an Air Export coordinator to ensure timely freight movement and accurate information flow. You will handle data entry, track shipments, and communicate with overseas teams to uphold service standards.

The role requires 1 year in Air Export, knowledge of air documentation, and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. IATA is a plus; standard shift Monday–Friday with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of Air Export specific experience.
• Knowledge of air documentation / process.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including listening and clear communication.
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
• Ability to type 45 wpm.
• IATA certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information.
• Provide exceptional customer service within Air Export.
• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Enter data accurately into the operational system.
• Track and trace Air Export files and reporting.
• Utilize Workflows daily.
• Communicate arrival notices to overseas and customers.
• Bill clients and service providers accurately and timely.
• Interact with customers to arrange international shipments.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers (carriers, trucking, etc.).
• Comply with internal and external regulations.
• Understand department processes and pursue efficiency.
• Keep SOPs updated and comply with KPI standards.
• Respond to emails and requests promptly (internal/external).

Job Description

Scope of Position

Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Air Export Department.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
• Track and Trace Air Export files and reporting
• Use Workflows on daily basis
• Ensure arrival notices are communicated to overseas and customers
• Ensure accurate and timely client and Service Providers billing
• Interact with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards
• Contribute to maintaining good relationships with suppliers (Airline carriers, trucking companies and others involved)
• Meet compliance at all times with internal and external regulations in accordance with government regulations
• Understand department process flow, looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
• Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are in place and updated
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company's procedure
• Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)
