Star City Heating & Cooling in Lincoln, NE is seeking an Air Duct Cleaner for a full-time, on-site role. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule, with 40 hours per week and occasional overtime. Daily travel to local job sites is required as you seal HVAC systems and support installation teams.

You will gain hands-on training, work with Aeroseal technology, and contribute to a safety-first culture while advancing within a larger Clarion Home Services Group network.

Qualifications

• Experience in duct cleaning preferred, on-the-job training may be provided.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as per local laws.

Responsabilités

• Seal central heating, cooling, and ventilation systems using Aeroseal technology.
• Assist lead installers with residential/commercial HVAC equipment installations.
• Safely load, unload, and stage HVAC equipment, tools, and materials.
• Prepare job sites with protective measures and maintain a clean workspace.
• Assist with basic ductwork modifications and low-voltage wiring under supervision.
• Clear out old equipment and debris after job completion.
• Assist with shop duties, including inventory management and parts reception.
• Build rapport with homeowners and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Install Manager and Coordinator to ensure smooth execution.

Work Location: Lincoln, NE and surrounding area

Work Arrangement: On-Site and field-based

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday through Friday; daily hours vary based on active business demands. This is a variable full-time role up to 40 hours per week, with weekly hours fluctuating alongside seasonal business needs and project volume. To meet shifting operational deadlines, occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work may be required.

Travel: Daily travel to residential/commercial job sites throughout the local branch’s service region.

• Compensation: $20-23 per hour based on experience

What You'll Do:

• Expertly seal central heating, cooling, and ventilation systems using Aeroseal technology.
• Assist lead installers with the installation of residential/commercial HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.
• Safely load, unload, and stage HVAC equipment, tools, and materials at the daily job sites.
• Prepare job sites for installation by laying down protective floor runners and maintaining a clean, hazard-free workspace throughout the day.
• Assist with basic ductwork modifications, line sets, and running low-voltage wiring under the supervision of a lead technician.
• Help clear out old equipment and debris upon job completion, ensuring the customer's property is left cleaner than we found it.
• Assist with shop duties, including receiving parts, organizing inventory, and keeping our fleet "truck-ready."
• Build rapport with homeowners, ensuring they are satisfied and excited about the services we provide.
• Work hand-in-hand with our Install Manager and Coordinator to ensure seamless job execution.

What You Bring:

• Experience:Previous duct cleaning experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate!
• Licensing: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with a strong focus on learning how to educate clients and provide clear, professional customer service on-site.
• Integrity:High integrity with a strong desire for continuous improvement.
• Compliance: Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screening, in accordance with local laws and regulations.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50-75 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs repetitively.
• The job requires working in cramped spaces like attics and crawlspaces, which involves a lot of bending, crawling, and kneeling.
• Ability to climb and work from ladders.
• Must be able to work in different environments that can be hot, cold, dusty, or dirty.
• Physical ability to stand for an 8-hour shift and work for extended periods without becoming overly fatigued.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $20-$23 per hour

Range Basis: Within this range, an individual's starting pay is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, qualifications, professional experience, and internal equity across our organization.

Other Compensation: Overtime eligibility. See benefits listed above.

Overtime Classification: Hourly, non-exempt
