Job summary

Burton Plumbing, a brand of Clarion Home Services Group, is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician in Omaha, NE. This full-time on-site and field-based role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime as needed, and daily travel to local job sites.

• Diagnose, repair, and install residential and light commercial HVAC systems (including multi-zone equipment).

• Maintain communication with dispatch, manager, parts, and installation teams.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday; daily hours vary based on active business demands. This is a variable full-time role up to 40 hours per week, with weekly hours fluctuating alongside seasonal business needs and project volume. To meet shifting operational deadlines, occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work may be required.

Travel:

Daily travel to residential/commercial job sites throughout the local branch’s service region.

• Compensation: $25 to $32 per hour based on experience.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and install residential and light commercial HVAC systems (including multi-zone equipment).
• Educate customers on their systems, set clear expectations, and provide top-tier service.
• Take ownership of individual revenue goals by identifying sales opportunities, providing accurate quotes for enhancements, and meeting performance benchmarks that drive company growth.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, explaining the long-term value of high-efficiency equipment versus ongoing repairs to help them make informed investment decisions.
• Perform system startups for residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, parts, and installation teams.
• Coordinate with other service trades, contractors, clientele, and vendors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, stocked company truck and stay in sync with our parts teams.
• Participate in morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats.

What You Bring

• Experience: 1+ years of HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and service.
• Licensing: EPA Universal / Type 2 Certification; Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Tools: Your own basic tools, gauges, and meters.
• Integrity: High integrity with a strong desire for continuous improvement.
• Compliance: Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

• Ability to frequently climb ladders, crawl into tight spaces (attics/crawlspaces), and stand or kneel for long periods.
• Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Capacity to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs independently and heavier equipment with assistance.

Compensation

• Base Pay Range: $25.00-$32.00 per hour.
• Range Basis: Within this range, an individual's starting pay is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, qualifications, professional experience, and internal equity across our organization.
• Other Compensation: Overtime eligibility and performance-based incentive bonuses. See benefits listed above.
