Job summary

Chattahoochee Technical College invites applications for a full-time Air Conditioning Technology Instructor (Campus TBD). The instructor will guide students and deliver both lecture and hands-on lab work to prepare them for the Air Conditioning industry.

Under supervision of senior staff, duties include advising, assessing progress, maintaining documentation, and ensuring lab safety; a Diploma in Air Conditioning is required, two years of experience preferred. Open until filled.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma in Air Conditioning from a technical or community college.
• Two years of industry experience and/or relevant training/certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lecture and lab instruction within the Air Conditioning program.
• Conduct instructional activities and advise students.
• Evaluate student progress and maintain required documentation.
• Set up and take down lab equipment and ensure safety compliance.

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: Air Conditioning Technology Instructor (Campus TBD)

Position Description

Under supervision of the Transportation, Logistics and Building Services Associate Dean and the Dean of Business and Technical Studies, the instructor will be responsible for providing guidance and instruction necessary to prepare students with the technical competencies essential for the Air Conditioning industry. The instructor will perform all aspects of instruction as a full-time instructor for the Air Conditioning Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) and/or Diploma program.

Duties include:

• lecture
• lab
• instructional activities
• student advisement
• evaluating students’ progress
• maintaining all required documentation
• performs, and/or supervises lab set up/take down and ensures lab safety requirements and other duties as defined by The Technical College System of Georgia.

Minimum Qualifications

Educational Level: This position requires a minimum of a Diploma in Air Conditioning from a Technical or Community College. Two years of industry experience and/or relevant training and certifications are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

A preference is given to applicants having an Associate Degree in a related field.

A preference is given to applicants with a State of Georgia Conditioned Air license.

Salary/Benefits

• $62,972 annually.
• Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.
