NEXCOMHQ Pay Range : $25.39
Installs and makes repairs to large air-conditioning refrigeration systems.
Frequently carries and sets up parts and equipment that weigh up to 50 pounds. Hoist holders and pulleys are operated when removing units such as large compressors, condensers, and chillers. Makes repairs and installations from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms, where parts of systems worked on are often in hard-to-reach places. Stoops, stretches, bends, and kneels for long periods of time.
Work is performed indoors and occasionally outdoors, often in cramped and awkward positions. Work is frequently dirty and greasy. Variable temperatures occur when working in cold storage rooms. Workers are subject to possible injuries such as cuts, bruises, burns, and electrical shocks.
One year of experience that provided the knowledge and ability to perform a full range of duties in connection with the Installation and repair of air-conditioning refrigeration systems.
One year of high school education may be substituted for 3 months of general experience up to a High School Diploma or GED for one year of general experience.
Five years of experience that provided the knowledge and ability to perform a full range of work involved in the installation repair overhaul maintenance and servicing of industrial and domestic reach-in and walk-in refrigerators installing split HV AC systems walk-in refrigerator and freezer prefabricated boxes etc. cold storage and cold room equipment freezers water coolers dehumidifiers air conditioning units and systems and related equipment and current Universal Technician Certification.
