Qualifications

• Experience using mechanical measurement tools (micrometers, scales, vernier/dial calipers, etc.).
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
• Ability to create basic hand drawings of components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/kneel for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent peer inspections in the machine shop.
• Verify as-found component drawings for manufacturing.
• Create minor sketches of components (bushings, sleeves, shaft keys).
• Accurately complete required paperwork for inspections.
• Perform additional machine shop tasks when not inspecting.
