Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors and related equipment at DIRECTAIR sites across the region. You'll conduct remote monitoring, perform preventive maintenance, and document service reports while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers hands-on training through Air Academy, a company vehicle, a 4x10 schedule, and strong advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with rotary screw, oil-free or oil-flooded air compressor service preferred.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug test and background check.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
• Coachable and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and rotating equipment at DIRECTAIR sites.
• Monitor sites remotely and respond proactively to issues.
• Diagnose issues and recommend solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Identify site repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
• Complete accurate service reports and communicate site needs.
• Keep service vehicle stocked with tools and order parts as needed.
• Respond to urgent calls and minimize downtime.
• Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and stay current through training.
• Handle emergency service calls with speed and precision.
