Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies in Michigan is seeking a Service Technician to work hands-on with compressed air systems, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our DIRECTAIR sites. You'll gain expertise through advanced training and real customer impact.

You'll travel between sites, monitor remotely, document service reports, and uphold safety standards while delivering reliable service. A high school diploma or GED and strong communication are required; a valid driver's license is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with rotary screw, oil-free and/or oil-flooded air compressors preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver's license; able to pass drug test and background check.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
• Coachable and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and rotating equipment at DIRECTAIR sites across the region.
• Monitor sites remotely and respond proactively to issues.
• Diagnose issues and recommend solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Identify site repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
• Complete accurate service reports and communicate site needs.
• Keep your service vehicle stocked with tools and order parts needed at sites.
• Respond to urgent calls and minimize downtime.
• Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.
• Handle emergency service calls with speed and precision to keep operations moving.
• Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
