Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Mobile, AL is seeking a Field Service Technician to support our field service area and provide high-quality customer service. You will be close to customers, troubleshoot and repair air compressors and related equipment, and report to the Service Manager.

You will work on a rotating 24/7/365 on-call schedule, install systems as needed, and train other technicians while maintaining safety standards and proper PPE usage.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a compressor technician.
• Valid driver's license.
• Customer-focused and take ownership of meeting the customer's needs.
• Ability to supply all basic required tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers, auto drains, flow controllers, vacuum pumps, and blowers.
• Pressure wash and clean the customer’s equipment pad.
• Communicate with the customer and Service Manager regarding services performed and options for repairs or upgrades.
• Complete all work orders, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, and parts return slips.
• Train and assist other Service Technicians.
• Promote and practice proper safety procedures and use of PPE.
• Set, install, and pipe compressor systems as needed.
• Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool.

Air Compressor Service Technician - Mobile, AL

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team on our journey for a better tomorrow.

Your role

To best serve our customers, we are increasing our presence within our field service area. This supports our mission in providing safe and high-quality service that is performed with great efficiency to our customers. As a Field Service Technician, you are an important part of this mission. You will be close to your customers and service our products to provide a great customer experience. You will report to the Service Manager.

• You will troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers (regenerative and refrigerated), auto drains, flow controllers, vacuum pumps, and blowers
• You will pressure wash (where possible) and effectively clean the customer’s entire equipment pad including skids, coolers, concrete, tanks, etc.
• You will communicate with the customer and Service Manager regarding all services performed and clearly present all options for any required repairs, upgrades, or other customer needs
• You will completely fill out all work orders, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, and parts return slips
• You will train and assist other Service Technicians
• You will promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal and protective equipment
• You will set, install, and pipe compressor systems as needed
• You will participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with other Technicians as scheduled by the Service Manager

To succeed, you need

• You have a valid driver's license.
• You have 3-5 years of experience as a compressor technician.
• You have expertise in mechanical, electrical, or electronic repair.
• You are customer-focused and take ownership of meeting the customer's needs.
• You can supply all basic required tools
