Job summary

Air General, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Agent - Air Cargo at the Orlando International Airport (MCO) location. The role involves loading/unloading cargo, moving freight within designated warehouses, and preparing cargo for outbound flights.

The candidate should be able to operate basic cargo equipment and meet security/background checks for airport operations. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid US driver’s license, English communication skills, and the ability to lift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to obtain a valid airport SIDA badge.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid and unexpired US Driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions.
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings and background checks.
• Be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to handle stress in a high-noise fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Some travel may be required for airline specific training.

Responsibilities

• Move air cargo within designated warehouses.
• Load and unload cargo from pallets and containers.
• Build up cargo for outbound flights.
• Break down cargo from import flights.
• Facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo to and from semitrucks.
• May operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks.
• Check freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate when accepting or delivering cargo.
• May transport cargo to and from aircraft driving a 3,000 lb. vehicle using depth perception to navigate areas with attached carts.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.
