Job summary

Lufthansa Cargo in the United States seeks a warehouse operations specialist to coordinate local and regional tasks that support a global handling strategy.

You will analyze costs, monitor subcontractors, ensure compliance with DGR and regulations, manage cargo documentation, and promote a proactive, quality-focused culture while working shifts.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English required.
• 3-6 years’ experience in export and import warehouse operations desirable.
• Must possess a legal work permit in the U.S.
• Must be willing to work shifts.
• Relocation assistance may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the local/regional operations business plan & measures meant for the support of the worldwide handling strategy
• Assist in the analysis of cost/budget achievements/service element and performance
• Monitor the performance of subcontractors to ensure required performance levels/request required corrective action
• Responsible for handling of mail OAL, DGR storage, DGR training, FAA and TSA regulations, warehouse/weight and volume checks and any irregularities
• Work according to documented Quality Manual procedures and promote a preventative culture using the tools provided
• Assist in the management of all warehouse affairs/documentation (handling of flights and trucks, storage of cargo, physical acceptance and delivery)
• Takeover of additional tasks when required

Requirements
