Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a warehouse operations supervisor to manage cargo warehousing for airfreight and related shipments. You will oversee receiving, dispatch, staging, and the use of motorized equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency across the operation.

Responsibilities include staffing, coaching, and performance monitoring to maintain quality, security, and customer satisfaction in line with TSA regulations and company policy.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Operate motorized vehicles as related to the operation.
• Monitor work performance and direct personnel within the assigned area.
• Participate in discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring and termination of subordinates.
• Train subordinates and ensure compliance with Company rules and regulations.
• Ensure budgetary controls and manning requirements.
• Proactively monitor the work of assigned employees to ensure customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet standards.
• Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation.

Job description

• Responsible for cargo warehousing, including receiving, dispatching and staging airfreight, air mail and other cargo at air freight docks and other cargo facilities;
• Operating motorized vehicles as related to the operation;
• Routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, equipment and facilities with or without powered equipment;
• Overseeing and advising on staffing requirements;
• Monitoring the quantity and quality of work performance; directing personnel within assigned functional area;
• Participating in the discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring and termination of subordinates;
• Training subordinates, ensures compliance with Company rules and regulations, Company standards and contractual agreements;
• Ensuring budgetary controls and manning requirements.
• Proactively monitoring the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards.
• Maintains and controls all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation.

Requirements

• Minimum Requirements Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.
• Preferred Skills Ability to handle stress.
• Cognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgment.
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
