Job summary

GAT Airline Ground Support in Jackson, MS is seeking a dedicated Airport Cargo Agent to organize warehouse facilities and load/unload air cargo. The role requires ensuring safety and quality standards while complying with SOPs and company policies.

The duties include loading/unloading cargo, transporting between terminals, palletizing cargo, and completing required cargo documents. Strong attention to safety and basic computer literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to navigate electronic devices (computers, fax machines, printers, timeclock, etc).
• GSE maintenance knowledge is required.
• Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation.
• Must have and maintain a High School diploma, GED.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload air cargo on and off aircraft, carts, container, and trucks
• Transporting between terminals and aircraft; ramp transfers of cargo
• Prepare and palletize cargo as needed
• Read and legibly complete cargo documents and forms necessary to airline requirements
• Assure proper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment
• Follow Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations
• Comply with GAT Airline Ground Support's SOPs and policies
• Pick-up and delivery of cargo as indicated
• All other duties as assigned
