Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Air Ambulance Pilot to deliver rapid, life-saving transport for patients while guiding a medical team in flight. This role blends advanced aviation skills with strict safety standards and mission protocols during every flight.

The position requires FAA certifications, extensive helicopter time, and the ability to respond to emergencies, coordinate with medical staff, and maintain precise logs and reports in accordance with FAA and company policy.

Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate ratings.
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher).
• 2,500 hours total helicopter time.
• 100 hours cross-country (25 hours at night).
• 75 actual or simulated instrument hours.
• 100 hours unaided night flight.
• Pass a 135.293 check ride within the first 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations and mission protocols.
• Plans and executes flights considering weather, weight, balance, and fuel.
• Collaborates with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for mission execution.
• Responds promptly to emergency callouts and maintains readiness.
• Maintains accurate flight and maintenance logs per FAA requirements.
• Represents the company professionally with patients, families, and the public.
