Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino seeks an AIML Research Counsel to support product and regulatory teams on AI/ML developments, including pre-publication reviews of papers, models, code, and datasets.

You will provide practical legal guidance to mitigate risks across IP, privacy, and confidentiality while enabling innovation. You will collaborate with Research, Engineering, and Product teams to review datasets, translate complex legal requirements, and maintain compliance as Apple advances its AIML

Qualifications

• 4+ years of legal experience at a technology company, a leading law firm, or a government agency.
• JD or equivalent and admission to at least one state bar.
• Experience advising AIML Research, Engineering, and Product teams is a plus.
• Clear and concise communication of complex legal issues to executives and frontline teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-publication legal review of AIML research papers, models, code, and datasets.
• Review evaluation and training datasets for copyright, privacy, and data-use restrictions.
• Translate evolving legal requirements into practical guidance to enable responsible research and data use.
• Support cross-functional teams to mitigate risks related to IP, product development, and confidentiality.
