Job summary

Synechron seeks a hands-on AI Engineer to drive a high-visibility Generative AI initiative focused on enterprise-scale document summarization and conversational AI. You will lead design, development, and deployment of complex AI solutions, collaborating with stakeholders and partners to deliver scalable GenAI capabilities for financial services clients.

The role requires MCP certification, extensive AIML experience, and proficiency with LLMs and modern AI tooling.

Qualifications

• MCP (cert) is required.
• Expertise in AIML implementations for enterprise GenAI.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs: Llama, Mixtral, Mistral).
• Proficiency with inference mechanisms (transformer/pipeline, vllm).
• Knowledge of Agentic framework: langgraph.
• Exposure to evaluation frameworks: RAGAS, phoenix-arize.
• Experience with embeddings: all-MiniLM-L6-v2, all-mpnet-base-v2.
• Familiarity with LLM development frameworks: Langchain, LlamaIndex.
• Strong background in microservices, APIs, and integration patterns.

Responsibilities

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Jersey City, NJ is $115 - $125k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex data and AI applications, often leveraging emerging and cutting-edge technologies
• Architect and deliver enterprise-scale GenAI solutions, including summarization engines and chatbot applications
• Apply sound judgment in selecting methods, tools, and evaluation criteria within broadly defined practices and policies
• Provide technical leadership by owning deliverables, assigning work, and resolving complex technical issues
• Translate business strategy and requirements into actionable technical solutions
• Ensure solutions comply with model governance and risk management standards
• Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, IT partners, and external vendors

Requirements

• MCP is a must (skills-based orchestration)
• Expertise in AIML implementation
• Experience with LLM Models (Llama, Mixtral, Mistral)
• Experience with Various inferencing mechanisms - transformer/pipeline, vllm
• Experience with Agentic framework: langgraph
• Experience with Evaluation frameworks: RAGAS, phoenix-arize
• Experience with Embedding (all-MiniLM-L6-v2, all-mpnet-base-v2)
• Experience with LLM development framework : Langchain, LlamaIndex
• Expertise in microservices, APIs, integration patterns

Preferred, but not required

• Experience and desire to work in an Agile process (pair programming, daily stand-ups, etc.).
• Demonstrable knowledge of problem domain in which they have been working.
• Passion to learn new technology.
• Relevant industry (banking middle/back office/Finance) experience.
